BARRE, Vt. (AP) — The Vermont prosecutor who disarmed the suspect in a fatal shooting of a social worker said Wednesday he is no longer carrying a gun to work following a newspaper report that some courthouse workers were concerned.

Famed attorney Alan Dershowitz and a rare protest outside Delaware's Supreme Court fueled an unusually heated hearing on Wednesday, in a battle between the warring co-founders of TransPerfect Global Inc, a leading translation firm. The hearing ended with Dershowitz shouting for more time to make his case, a request Chief Justice Leo Strine curtly and firmly denied as the four other justices filed out of the court. The sharp exchange ended an hour-long hearing at which Philip Shawe's legal team sought to make their case the lower Court of Chancery wrongly ordered TransPerfect sold to resolve a deadlock between Shawe and co-owner Elizabeth Elting.

|Boston entrepreneur gets 20 months in prison for insider trading - Amit Kanodia, 49, was also ordered by U.S. District Judge Nathaniel Gorton in Boston to pay a $200,000 fine and forfeit $242,500 after a jury in October found him guilty on conspiracy and securities fraud charges, prosecutors said. Kanodia, a real estate entrepreneur and private equity investor, was at the center of what prosecutors said was an insider trading scheme involving two of his friends that resulted in around $1.27 million in illegal profits. |Florida man accused of online threat to kill Trump - Dominic Joseph Puopolo confessed to Miami Beach police detectives that he made the online threat on Monday, according to an arrest report provided by police. Officers arrested Puopolo after he left a sandwich shop on Tuesday, his 51st birthday, police records show.
